See Why Everyone in Athens, GA Looks Forward to Wednesday & SaturdayPosted on June 6, 2017

This story holds true in Athens, GA but with a twist…it’s so nice it happens twice! The Famous Athens Farmers Market recently opened for its 10th season and will take place every Wednesday and Saturday and run through December 16.
This year, the market will be held under the covered pavilion at Bishop Park on Saturdays. On Wednesdays, the market will be held from 4-7 p.m. at Creature Comforts Brewing Co., 471 W. Hancock Ave. in downtown Athens. 13 vendors will be selling in-season vegetables and fruits, beef, preserves, tea drinks called kombucha, hummus, baked goods, prepared foods and organic beauty products. Georgia Sourdough, LetUsCompost, Harvest Moon and Harlow’s Vegan Cupcakes are all new vendors with Athens Farmers Market.
