Reliving Your College Days – The Dawg Way!Posted on September 6, 2016
Athens Georgia is known for its school spirit and love of college football. People of all ages are loyal to their Georgia Bulldogs and make it a lifestyle even after their college days. The Georgia Club is a community filled with Georgia Alumni and it is one of several subdivisions popping up across the country that give college pals an opportunity to move in next door to one another.
The community provides numerous things that appeal to all of the Dawg residents. A concierge will advice residents about campus events and shuttles to the games will be provided. The clubhouse, which is filled with sculptures of the Georgia Bulldogs’ mascot, Uga, and framed pictures of the stadium and campus, can be used to host a game watching parties and other fun events for the residents. There is even one building, a meeting hall that will be molded after the university’s Phi Kappa Hall.
Even though not every resident is decked out in red and black and no one is asking to see a diploma, a majority of the residents are big financial donors and die-hard alumni.
Dan Parker, A University of Georgia Alumnus and a resident at The Georgia Club said, “Never did I believe I would have the opportunity to live in this environment. That school spirit will evolve over time as alumni and employees of the university buy property here as well.” It is clear that being a Dawg brings a sense of community into this development and it becomes more than just a place you live, it becomes a home.
For the residents of The Georgia Club, there is no shortage of Georgia football pride and it shows through in this community. Living close to all of the excitement, but still having the small town feel gives the residents the best of both worlds. Click Here to take a look at what the Georgia Club lifestyle has to offer.
