Say No to Another Winter in the North: It’s Time to Move to The Georgia ClubPosted on April 5, 2018
The Northeast is full of personality, history, and culture. On the flip side, often painfully cold, snarled in traffic, and subject to an increasingly high cost of living.
Here in Georgia, we have our own year-round home heater: the sun! A move to The Georgia Club means mild winters combined with gorgeous falls, springs, and summers. We also operate at a bit more of an ambling speed in comparison to the rushed lifestyles of our friends up north.
So what’s a true day in the life like for a northerner finding themselves in our charming community outside of Athens, GA and just east of Atlanta?
Plan Your Day — and Life — Around Your Interests
Wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee on your classically Southern front porch or private courtyard and wave as your neighbors pass by. No winter jacket needed!
Spend your morning doing what suits you! At The Georgia Club you have options. Check out the state of the art aquatic and fitness center, outdoor tennis courts, world-class golf courses or soon to be complete pickleball courts. If sports aren’t your thing that day, spend time cultivating the Community Garden or schedule a pet play date at The Dawg Park. There’s also always something happening at The Village Commons or at The Club– go for the camaraderie and smiling faces then stay for lunch! Feeling the itch for knowledge? You can even take a class! Take it from our neighbor, Gene Whelan:
“My wife and I joined The Georgia Club ten months ago. We also purchased a home at The Club. We have lived all over the country and traveled all over the world. The Georgia Club is fantastic and has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our neighbors are great, the Pro Shop is top-notch, the workout facilities are wonderful, the bar is super, and the restaurant is superb with reasonable prices and excellent food. The place is clean, well-kept, and well-managed. All staff is top notch, respectful, knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and trustworthy. My wife and I feel like we are living at Old Key West in Disney World. It has been a very positive experience, and we would recommend this place to anyone. We have had many friends and family visit, and they all want to move here. Truly a great choice on our part to live here.”
With Athens so close, a visit to town is easy! No need to get your ice scraper out, just grab your keys and go! Evenings at The Georgia Club are meant for slowing down and relaxing. With very few cold nights, gatherings at the fire pit and strolls down the neighborhood streets are bound to happen.
Head South, Stop Here (Before it Gets Too Hot in Florida)
Life down south is a little bit slower and a little bit simpler, creating the perfect recipe for happiness. Leave the hats, scarves, and worries behind for a spot at the award-winning Georgia Club and you’ll never look back (or up) again!
