What has Dawg Nation All Fired Up This Spring?

Find Out Where Dawg Nation Will Celebrate G-Day This Saturday!

Posted on April 20, 2017

Georgia will have its final practice at the Woodruff Practice Fields on Thursday before the annual G-Day scrimmage on Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. with gates opening at 11 a.m. Of course, just above the hedges in Sanford Stadium would be the ideal seat to enjoy the annual intra-squad scrimmage but there a lot of options if you were unable to snag a ticket. Here is the ultimate list of Dawg Nation hot spots to enjoy the game:

1. The Georgia Club
Host a viewing party for all of your neighbors and friends at The Georgia Club. The clubhouse, which is filled with sculptures of the Georgia Bulldogs’ mascot, UGA, and framed pictures of the stadium and campus, can be used to host a game watching parties and other fun events.

2. The Rooftop of the Georgia Theatre
Bask in the breathtaking views of downtown Athens on the famous Georgia Theatre rooftop. Well-known for serving-up some of Athens best up-and-coming musical talents, this venue also serves a large outdoor space, delicious food, and televisions for watching your favorite Bulldogs!

3. Fuzzy’s
Come into Fuzzy’s and enjoy the cool blast of air-conditioning and a refreshing margarita! With long, hightop tables and large TV’s, Fuzzy’s can host any size party for your football needs!

4. Amici’s
Love hot wings and cold beer? Amici’s has plenty! With multiple TV’s and a full bar, Amici’s will supply all your game day needs. Make sure to look for the train circling the top of the wall!

5. Blind Pig Tavern
Newly located right downtown, the Blind Pig Tavern is another Athens top pick to sit back, grab a bite, and watch the game. Whether you’re craving burgers, BBQ, or buffalo wings, the Blind Pig will never skimp on your appetite!

The youthful exuberance of UGA keeps Athens forever young and brings with it a plethora of sports, music and cultural activities. The Georgia Club is located minutes from the heart of Athens and less than an hour from Atlanta. Discover Georgia’s premier golf and country club community. The selection of homes in the distinctive neighborhoods offers relaxed luxury. Live near your alma mater and enjoy classic Southern living at The Georgia Club.
