Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Award Ceremony

Held at The Foundry in downtown Athens, the 2nd annual Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Award Ceremony will grant one of five finalists will receive a $1,000 Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year award. The finalists for this year’s event, put on by the local Rotary chapter, are Andrew Rieger of Elf Power, Mariah Parker as Linqua Franqa, Sean Stephansen of The Broken String Band, KyKy Renee Knight of Harlot Party and Cindy Wilson.
A Conversation With Grace Bonney For Good Company

An evening full of inspiration at Cine, featuring Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge! Presented by Avid Bookshop, this panel style event will offer the chance to discuss entrepreneurship, community, mentorship, and more.
Athens West Fest
June 2nd @ 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | free admission | info
Stop by this family-friendly festival in the Georgia Square Mall parking lot. Festivities include music performances, dancing, a kids zone, touch-a-truck, and a multi-vendor yard sale. Admission is free, so it’s a great chance to get out and hang out in the community. Plus, with a non-profit exploratorium on site, you’ll have opportunities to give back!
An Evening With Rumours
June 2nd @ 9 p.m. | $15-20 | tickets
An Athens favorite, Rumours, has a show at The Georgia Theatre and you don’t want to miss it. This Fleetwood Mac cover band has been entertaining the masses of Atlanta and the surrounding areas since 2014. Travel back in time and make it a date night!
H^3 Craft Beer Festival
June 3rd @ 2–5 p.m. | $20–35 | tickets
Sample craft beer from Southern Brewing Company, Jekyll Brewing, Reformation Brewery and many more at this Lexington beer festival organized by Goodness Grows. The festival will feature live music by Art Grider and on-site food vendors, everything you need for a great time. A portion of proceeds will benefit historic preservation projects in Lexington.
Weekly Farmer’s Markets

Shop produce, pastries, and products at the farmer’s markets around town. With three weekly markets in different locations, you’re bound to get your weekly shopping out of the way. All markets contribute to community wellness and local economic development. Shop local!
