A Recap: The Georgia Club Junior Classic Champions – And How They Got TherePosted on June 16, 2016
It was a beautiful and competitive couple of days in Statham for The Georgia Club Junior Classic Golf Tournament last weekend. Talented young adults across five age divisions competed on the par 72 Georgia Club course over two days.
The overall male winner and member at The Georgia Club, Candler Murphey finished the tournament with an even-par total of 144 while Annika Blanton of Lawrenceville, GA took home the title of top overall female champion with a final two-day tally of 152. It was indeed an impressive showing from the talented athletes from right in our own school district.
The championship course, along with unmatched hospitality from the residents of The Georgia Club, made for an experience these players and their families will not soon forget.
