Simplifying the logistics of having both the wedding ceremony and reception in one central area is one of the beauties of The Georgia Club. Brides have discovered that the Village Hall with its classical detailing and tall, cathedral ceiling provides an attractive, intimate setting for any kind of non-denominational or religious ceremony. A short walk following the ceremony leads guests to the stylish Clubhouse Ballroom, Dawgwood I & II, designed for casual hors d'oeuvre receptions or dinner and dancing. The Clubhouse even has a lavishly appointed suite available for the bridal party preparations or as a retreat for the bride and groom following the reception.

The Georgia Club's team of Events experts is ready to assist with all the details. The culinary team presents an extensive offering of savory delights, ranging from petite crab cakes and seafood beignets for appetizers, to dinners with cold-water lobster tail or pecan crusted chicken breast just to name a few. The club's list of recommended photographers, florists, bakers and limousine services saves time and takes the uncertainty out of the details.

Seasonal Styles to Fit Any Preference

At The Georgia Club, we know there are as many different wedding styles as there are Brides. Between our experienced staff and extensive resources, we are able to translate any style concept into reality. For instance, The Georgia Club featured four "tablescapes" for every different type of bride at the Weddings of Georgia Bridal Expo in August. The spring "Garden Party" table (pictured top-left) was geared toward the ethereal bride with romantic accents of pink and green. The summer "Southern Charm" themed table (pictured top-right) was a reflection of the traditional touches of the south, complete with mason jars, bright, bold colors, and even lemons in the centerpiece. The autumn "Fall Flora and Fauna" table (pictured bottom-left) was exquisitely crafted to reflect the richness of fall in Georgia, with intense copper, eggplant, and scarlet shades and hypericum berries. The "Wintery Wow" table (pictured bottom-right) was focused on the glam bride with crystals, baubles, and lots of bling. They were a huge hit with the brides and we encouraged them to picture themselves, whatever their style, as the centerpiece of a Georgia Club wedding. Location, Location, Location

Location is another reason couples are planning weddings at The Georgia Club. In addition to providing a picturesque backdrop for taking memorable photographs, the accessibility of The Georgia Club to Athens and Atlanta is appealing. Our two Ballrooms, Dawgwood I & II, join together to allow you space to invite up to 300 guests to share your special day. The Ballroom provides the perfect atmosphere to host any reception with its elegant decor and ambiance lighting to dance, eat, and celebrate the wonderful day. The multipurpose VIP Suite at the Clubhouse lends itself to several occasions. Both the perfect place to step into your gown and prepare for the walk down the aisle and a quiet respite for a newly wedded couple, the luxurious suite offers spacious rooms and discrete privacy. Features include an open common room with a full kitchenette, master bedroom with soaker tub, second bedroom with 2 double beds, and a walk out balcony with stunning golf course views.
