Caribbean Carnival -- Friday, May 2
Take a mini-vacation to the islands at the Caribbean Carnival on Friday, May 2. Join us poolside for food, fun and the sounds of the Caribbean courtesy of Tropical Breeze Steel Drum Band. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. with Happy Hour poolside and continues with dinner at 7:00 p.m. Our Caribbean buffet features stations offering tastes of the Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica and Key West. A children's buffet will also be available. The bar will serve up special tropical cocktails as well. For information on placing reservations, please see below.
- The cost for the Caribbean Carnival is $21 for adult Members, $23 for adult non-Members and $5 for children for reservations placed before 5:00 p.m. on April 30. The cost for reservations made after this time is $23 for adult Members, $25 for adult non-Members and $6 for children. Please note that these prices do not include sales tax or gratuity.
- To place your reservations, please call the Clubhouse at 770-725-8100. Also note that the Dining Room will be closed for a la carte dining on the evening of May 2.
May's First Sunday Worship Service is scheduled for May 4 at 5:00 p.m. in the Village Hall. Pam Driesell, a minister from Oconee Presbyterian, will oversee this service. Please call the Clubhouse at 770-725-8100 if you plan to attend.
Graduation Luncheon -- Saturday, May 10 Celebrate your grad's big day with lunch at The Georgia Club. Our Graduation Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The menu features The Georgia Club's Grand Salad Bar and a choice of entrees including Penne Puttanesca, Chicken and Spinach Roulade and Marinated Skirt Steak. A dessert and children's buffet will also be available. For information on cost and placing reservations, please see below.
- The cost of lunch is $11 for adult Members, $12 for adult non-Members and $5 for children for reservations placed before 5:00 p.m. on May 8. After May 8 the cost is $13 for adult Members, $14 for adult non-Members and $6 for children.

The Georgia Club is proud to announce it has been chosen as a participant in the 2009 Street of Dreams. The Street of Dreams is one of the largest home tour production companies in the country. We will have five or six new homes representing various styles and price points on display in our newest neighborhood south of Barber Creek. The Street of Dreams regularly attracts about 30,000 visitors per tour. The Street of Dreams tour is expected to last for six week beginning in September 2009. Mother's Day at The Georgia Club -- Sunday, May 11
Treat the special women in your life to Mother's Day brunch at The Georgia Club on Sunday, May 11. Seating begins in the Dawgwood Ballrooms at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m. Our Mother's Day feast includes breakfast, lunch and children's buffets as well as carving and dessert stations. The cost of brunch is $20 for adult Members, $22 for adult non-Members and $10 for children. Place your reservations with the Clubhouse at 770-725-8100.

Mark your calendars and lace up your sneakers for the Second Annual Front Porch Footrace at The Georgia Club! This year's race will take place on Friday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m. and includes a 5K Run and 1K Fun Run/Walk. The Front Porch Foot Race is hosted by The Georgia Club Foundation and will benefit several local community programs including the Special Needs Programs of the Barrow County Schools. Chesapeake Development recently opened a fully furnished model home in North Hill. This home is located at 2010 Trimleston Road and will be open every Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. for tours or by appointment throughout the week. We are proud to announce that The Georgia Club's newest neighborhood, Oconee Springs, will now have a part-time sales agent on the property. The agent will be available Thursday - Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from Noon until 5:00 p.m. Any questions you have about Oconee Springs or The Georgia Club can be answered by the agent on the property and he or she will be able to take you on tours of some of our recently completed homes. Not only will there be a sales agent, we now have a fully furnished model home open for tour. Come see how you could be living in our newest neighborhood. We are proud to announce that after seven months of renovation and reconstruction, Dawgwood I & II are now open for full use. Our ballroom has been closed since January so the renovation can take place, which was the first part of the two-phase Clubhouse expansion/renovation plan. The renovation included the addition of two new outside gardens, a complete overhaul of the kitchen, and the new ballroom.
The renovation of the ballroom not only doubled the size and capacity of the original room, but it also altered the kitchen. The Clubhouse kitchen now has an area for both the Dining Room and for Dawgwood events so neither side will ever be interrupted.

The Courtyard Model Home is representative of homes in The Georgia Club's North Hill neighborhood, as well as homes in Oconee Springs.
