Not Just Any Hole-in-One
For most people, getting a hole-in-one is reward enough, but on June 12, 2005 Alvin Richardson from Madison got an even bigger prize. Alvin was playing in the Athens Orthopedic Clinic/Big "G" Classic and it just so happens that Hole #15, where he made his hole-in-one, had a prize attached to it -- $25,000! Congratulations, Alvin!

| On July 23, 2003, Kevin Morris shot a Double Eagle while playing in the
Apalachee Basketball Tournament. Kevin hit a driver off the #1 tee and then
a three iron from 215 yards into the hole for a 2. Since hole #1 is a par 5,
this was a Double Eagle, a very rare accomplishment and a first
in the history of The Georgia Club. Congratulations, Kevin! |
