What is The Georgia Club?


The Georgia Club is a golf club located in Statham, Georgia approximately 12 miles from Athens and 40 miles northeast of Atlanta featuring exceptional golf, clubhouse and social facilities. The Club is offering Golf Memberships. The Georgia Club is more than a golf club . . . it is a place where one can experience all that is good about Georgia, a haven where one can expect the highest quality of hospitality, service, accommodation and recreational facilities in a tranquil, elegant environment. It is a place where old-fashioned values still matter, and where "good morning" is the norm�where respect, courtesy and manners still exist-and are expected.

Who owns the Club Facilities?


Georgia Club Land Company, LLLP, a Georgia limited liability limited partnership owns and operates the Club Facilities.

Will my family members be welcome at the Club?


Yes. The ability to spend quality time with members of your family is of paramount importance. The Club is committed to providing a pleasant environment where this can be accomplished.

A member's immediate family will be entitled to use the Club Facilities in accordance with the member's category of membership if the member pays the family level of dues. A member's immediate family will include the member's spouse and their unmarried children, under the age of 23, who are living at home, attending school on a full-time basis or serving in the military.

Members electing to pay the family level of dues are also entitled to have their extended family use the membership privileges upon payment of such preferred fees as may be established by the Club. The extended family shall include the parents, adult children who do not fall within the definition of immediate family, grandparents and grandchildren of the member and spouse and the spouses of such family members.

May I invite guests to the Club?


Yes. Having your friends enjoy the Club's outstanding facilities with you is a wonderful attribute of Club Membership. Therefore, members are entitled to have guests use the Club Facilities in accordance with the member's category of membership and the rules and regulations adopted by the Club to preserve the exclusivity of its facilities.

When will the membership deposit be repaid to the member?


The membership deposit actually paid by a member will be refunded, without interest, 30 years after the date the membership is issued by the Club.

If a member resigns prior to the end of the 30 year period, the membership deposit paid by the member will be 100% refunded, without interest, within 30 days after the reissuance of the resigned membership by the Club to a new member.

Can I arrange to have my membership transferred to the subsequent purchaser of my residence or homesite in the Georgia Club community?


Yes. Those members who own a residence or homesite in the Community will be permitted to arrange through the Club for the transfer of their membership to the subsequent purchaser of their residence or homesite. The subsequent purchaser must be approved for membership and pay the then required membership deposit.

The ability to arrange for the transfer of one's current membership to the purchaser of his or her property is an important attribute of membership because, even if there are no memberships available for issuance in the Club at the time, the subsequent purchaser can nonetheless obtain the seller's membership through the Club, provided the purchaser is approved for membership.

Can members be assessed to cover any operating deficits or capital improvements?


No. Members will not be subject to any liability for capital or operating assessments for the costs and expenses of ownership or operation of the Club or the Club Facilities. The Company will pay all operating deficits incurred in the operation of the Club Facilities, and will retain all operating revenues resulting from operation of the Club Facilities.

How will the Club keep informed of the desires of the members?


The Club is committed to providing the types of services, programs, activities and events in accordance with the desires of its members. An advisory Board of Governors comprised of members of the Club will be formed and will enable members to have input on the foregoing items as well as other matters that are of concern.

How do I become a member?


To become a member of the Club, you must submit a fully completed and signed Membership Agreement and a check in the amount of the required membership deposit.
